HDFC Bank changes rewards cashback structure on HDFC Bank Millennia Credit Card

The HDFC Bank Millennia Credit Card’s reward/cashback structure has recently changed significantly. Millennia credit cards issued after October 1, 2021 will be affected by these changes. The old rewards structure will apply to those who have old Millennia Credit Cards until October 31, after which the updated rewards structure will apply.

This credit card now offers 5% cashback on purchases made on Amazon, Flipkart, BookMyShow, Cult.fit, Myntra, Sony LIV, Swiggy, Tata CLiQ, Uber, and Zomato. You can now get a maximum cashback of Rs 1000 per billing cycle in this category.

Previously, spending on PayZapp and SmartBuy with this card earned you 5% cashback points. A minimum of Rs 2000 had to be spent in a single transaction to qualify for the cashback. The requirement for a minimum transaction amount to receive cashback has been removed, so cashback will be available even if you only make a transaction of Rs 100. Previously, a maximum cashback of Rs 750 was available for each billing cycle in this category.

Aside from that, all expenses by HDFC Bank Millennia Credit Card will be eligible for a 1% cashback point, with the exception of fuel. You will receive a maximum cashback of Rs 1000 per billing cycle in this category as well. Previously, all online purchases were eligible for a 2.5 percent cashback. A minimum of Rs 2000 had to be spent in a single transaction to qualify for the cashback. Previously, all offline purchases and wallet reloads were eligible for a 1% cashback point.

This card entitles you to use a domestic airport lounge eight times per year. Access to the domestic airport lounge is limited to two times per quarter. This feature has remained unchanged.

When you spend one lakh rupees on this card in a calendar quarter, you will receive a gift card worth 1000 rupees.
